Customer Leo Jang’s crazy Infiniti G35 was recently featured in Performance Auto & Sound magazine.  Leo has hooked up this car big time with Vivid Racing.  Everything from a wide body kit, HRE Wheels, Project Mu Brakes, Zeal Coilovers, Greddy Intercooler and much more.  This is a very unique ride but definitely a show winner.  Here is a brief part of the article from PASMAG.com…

“The car was put on the VTR rollers with veteran builder Vinny Ten programming the Hydra EMS. The results were impressive with a usable 648whp putting down 619lb-ft of torque. All of that pull would mean that driveline upgrades were in order. A set of DriveShaftShop Stage 5 axles were added along with a Carbonetic LSD to hold the power. An RPS multi-plate clutch has been added since the last clutch (which shall remain nameless) slipped on the drag strip. The car only managed an 11.9 but they are gunning deep into the 10s as the car sits.

The rollers definitely attract attention since the color lip craze hasn’t sunk in on the east coast. A set of HRE 590R that measure 19×10-inch in the front and 19×12.5-inch in the rear were custom painted with a matte face and pearl white lip. A set of Falken FK452 were selected with an impressive 275/30R19 for steering and 315/25R19s on the drive wheels.

Poking through the spokes were the trademark teal calipers of Project Mu, with 14-inch rotors and 4-piston clampers on all corners. The drop and the control was delegated to ZEAL Function XS coilovers and Eibach front and rear sway bars. The SPC Front and Rear Camber kits helped dial-in the camber along with polished upper and lower control arms.”

Pro Skateboarder and Vivid Racing friend/customer, Bucky Lasek, knows the importance of safety.  Whether jumping from the Super Ramp or hitting his 13ft vert skate pool, being safe is key to success.  So when he hits the local California race tracks in his Porsche 996 Turbo, he is backed by Vivid Racing and then new Agency Power Race Roll Bar.  The roll bar is designed for the Porsche 996 and 997 models.  Fitting both the Turbo and Carrera, this roll bar was designed to have a removable harness and diagonal bar to retain the function of the rear seats.  Made from treated steal and then powdercoated in a variety of different colors, Bucky opted for semi gloss black to go with his interior.  With the help of his buddy Justin, the 2 were able to install this cage in under 3 hours for a true OEM and bolt in fitment.  Check out the pictures below of this install!

Our Vivid Racing UK contact got us and the new iCarbon carbon fiber aero kit in a recent issue of a British BMW tuner magazine.  iCarbon, the US based aero kit manufacture, has produced an incredible kit for the BMW 135I as seen on our Project 135I car.  The carbon fiber front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler, and mirror covers are a great complement to any BMW 1 Series.  As iCarbon grows, stay tuned for more products on other European vehicles.  Check out our complete BMW Body Kit Store Here.

Vivid Racing, one of the largest HRE dealers is now taking orders for 2010 Porsche 997.2 GT3 owners who want the best and lightest wheel on the market for their pin drive car. The Competition C90 and C93 are available in 18″ and 19″ fitments. These wheels are extremely lightweight from 16lbs and up depending on the size. There are a couple of people I always give thanks to that have helped Vivid Racing become what it has become.  Without our involvement in road racing at the local NASA AZ DE events, we would have never built some of the cars we did.  What gets losted as a “shop owner” in any event is the fun factor because of competition.  Well guess what, we are going out to have fun and only fun!  So if I smoke you in our Project 997TT, remember, its just fun  Since 2003, we have been doing NASA road racing events.  Now under new ownership, the Arizona chapter has alot to offer.  Check out their forum, schedule of events, gallery, and more on the site.  If you don’t know, now you know! The 1pc forged monoblock HRE wheel has become the wheel of choice for many.  On everything from BMW, Audi, Porsche, and the GTR, this lightweight and strong wheel has been proven.  Hey… we have even used it on our Project Viper and Project 997 Turbo!  This customer has a brand new 2010 BMW 335I turbo that he wanted to look good.  So we equipped this car with 20×8.5 and 20×9.5 brushed P40 wheels.  The fitment is aggressive but a great look to this black ride.  Check out more of our BMW N54 Performance Parts Here.

This car comes to us from a customer in California who has converted his Boxster into a replica of the $1M Porsche Gemballa GT based off the Carrera GT.  We cannot take any credit for this build except providing the customer with these HRE P40 Monoblock Wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.  This was definitely a custom setup which further required a 2inch spacer in the front and 4inch spacer in the rear.  The front wheels are a 19×8.5 and the rear are a 20×12.5.  The wheels are flat black and then Vivid Racing did a custom matching orange pinstripe to the wheels for that final touch!  The wheels are wrapped in 235/35/19 and 335/25/20 tires.  This is one dedicated Porsche and we expect to see it hit the media train soon.  Stay tuned to our Gallery for more photos.
